Week of Prayer for Christian Unity

The annual Week of Prayer for Christian Unity begins Thursday, January 18. The theme chosen for 2018 is “Your Right Hand, O Lord, Glorious in Power” (Exodus 15:6). The churches of Union Springs have been observing this Week of Prayer for the past 39 years. During the week of prayer gatherings will be held at the Seventh-day Adventist Church, St. Michael Church and at Trinity United Church in Union Springs. The following is the schedule for the week for the gatherings of prayer, Scripture discussion, singing and fellowship.

Thursday. January 18, at the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Union Springs at 2:00p.m.
Friday, January 19 at the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Union Springs at 7:00p.m.
Saturday, January 20 at the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Union Springs at 2:00p.m
Monday, January 22 at St. Michael Church, 162 Cayuga St., Union Springs at 2:00p.m.
Tuesday, January 23 at St. Michael Church, 162 Cayuga St., Union Springs at 7:00p.m.
Wednesday, January 24 at Trinity United Church of Christ, 163 Cayuga Street, Union Springs.at 2:00p.m.
Thursday. January 25 at Trinity United Church of Christ, 163 Cayuga Street, Union Springs.at 7:00p.m.


On Sunday, January 21, we are having a Dish to Pass Supper at Trinity United Church of Christ, 163 Cayuga Street, Union Springs. Supper begins at 6:00 p.m. followed by a prayer service at 7:15pm based on this year’s theme “Your Right Hand, O Lord, Glorious in Power”. I will be the homilist this year. Everyone is welcome! We hope that you will pray for Christian Unity this week and we hope to see you at the dish to pass.
In each of GSCC churches Daily Scripture & Prayer Guides are available for the 2018 Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. If you cannot make some or all of the daily gatherings I encourage you to use the Scripture & Prayer Guide at home and to participate in praying for Christian Unity.
