The Devastation of Hurricane and Tropical Storm Harvey

The old saying goes "When it rains it pours". The poor residents of the Greater Houston and southeastern Texas areas effected by 'Harvey" have been hit by more rain than can be imagined!

I know that you have been flooded by many requests for financial support lately with me asking for increase in your parish support , the heat collection, and the CCHD collection, and with the CMA. soon to begin, but the needs of our brothers and sisters who have been struck by this devastating flooding cannot be ignored. Bishop Matano has asked us to take up a second collection this weekend to help those suffering from this catastrophic flooding.. If you are not prepared to give today please make a gift to Catholic Relief Services or other organizations that are responding to this great disaster, and keep them in your prayers.  It will be a long recovery.

God bless you, Father Bill
