Advent/Christmas Season Schedule: 2017/2018

As we begin the Season of Advent I want to share with you following schedule of Masses and times for the Sacrament of Penance that take place during the Advent/Christmas Season. You might want to put it on your refrigerator for reference or better yet share it with your relatives or neighbors.

Feast of the Immaculate Conception Masses are:

Thursday December 7th                   Friday December 8th

5:30 p.m. St. Patrick, Aurora            9:00 a.m. St. Michael, Union Springs

                                                         5:30 p.m. St. Patrick, Moravia

                                                         7:00 p.m. Our Lady of the Lake, King Ferry

Sacrament of Penance

St. Michael Church, Union Springs    Dec. 2, 9 & 16 from 3:00p.m. – 3:45p.m.

St. Patrick Church, Aurora                 Dec. 2, 9 & 16 from 6:30p.m. – 7:30p.m.

St. Patrick Church, Moravia     Every Sunday from 8:00a.m. – 8:20a.m. (the usual time) and                                                                 Dec. 8 from 4:30 - 5:15p.m. & Dec. 21 from 6:00p.m.-7:30p.m.

Our Lady of the Lake, King Ferry       Dec. 1 from 8:00a.m. – 8:45a.m. (the usual First Friday time)                                                               Dec. 5 & Dec..19 from 6:30 – 7:30p.m.

 

Fourth Sunday of Advent Mass Schedule:

With the Fourth Sunday in Advent and Christmas Eve both falling on Sunday, Dec. 24th, it might lead to confusion.   To clarify, the 4:00p.m. Mass on Saturday, Dec. 23th at St. Michael Church, Union Springs, and the Masses on Dec. 24th at 8:30a.m. at St. Patrick Church, Moravia, 10:30a.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Church, King Ferry and the 12:00 Noon Mass at St. Patrick, Aurora are all Masses for the Fourth Sunday of Advent.

 

Our Christmas Liturgies Are As Follows:

Christmas Eve, December 24th                          Christmas Day, December 25th

5:30 p.m. St. Patrick, Moravia                             9:00 a.m. St. Patrick, Aurora

6:00 p.m. Our Lady of the Lake, King Ferry        9:30 a.m. St. Michael, Union Springs

                    

Feast of Mary Our Mother this year falls on a Monday. The feast is not a holy day of obligation this year in the USA.) There will only be one Mass scheduled in the Parish for the Feast on Jan. 1,st a 9:00a.m. Mass at St. Patrick Church, Aurora.

The following Feasts will be celebrated in the weeks of the Christmas Season

Feast of the Holy Family on the weekend of December 30/31

Feast of the Epiphany on the weekend of January 6/7 

 

Masses on the Feast of the Holy Family and Epiphany will be celebrate at the regular

Winter Mass Schedule Times:  

Saturday                                                                      Sunday

4:00 p.m. St. Michael, Union Springs                          8:30 a.m., St. Patrick, Moravia

                                                                                    10:30 a.m., Our Lady of the Lake, King Ferry

                                                                                    12:00 noon, St. Patrick, Aurora

 

The Christmas Season concludes with the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord on Monday, January 8; Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m., at St. Patrick, Aurora
