From the Pastor's Desk: 10/23
1) A SPECIAL FRIDAY MASS will be celebrated this coming Friday, October 28th, at St. Patrick’s, Aurora, at the usual 9:00am time. First, it will “make up” for the Mass I did not celebrate this past Wednesday when I went to Father Morgan’s Mass at the Cathedral . . . . Second, it is major feast of two of the twelve apostles: namely, St. Simon and St. Jude (the latter is the patron of “impossible cases”)
. . . And third, I hope to be able to go to Mt. Savior Monastery in Elmira the rest of the day for spiritual direction and Confession (I’ll be back Saturday afternoon for 5:00pm Mass).
2) A PAID ORGANIST has been approved by the Parish Finance Council, as I announced at King Ferry last week. It has not been possible to obtain such a person as a volunteer after a few months of advertising. Now we are hoping you, our parishioners, will spread the word around the area of our proposal for a paid organist for the regular 10:30am Mass at Our Lady of the Lake. Any takers??
